Up and coming female rapper SiSi Dior is one of the many amazing talents found in Chicago. Since shes one of the only real emcee's who's out there spitting straight heat it was an easy choice to make her the artist spotlight for this week.
what got you interested in music?
growing up I was always
intrigued by music I was inspired by the artists that was big in the
90s like Michel Jackson, Whitney Houston, Brittney Spears, TLC, Missy
Elliot, ect.
Top 3 Artists and why?
Kayne west because he is very talented and innovative and not afraid to speak his mind.
Paramore
is my favorite band leading lady Haley Williams is the fearless female
fronting the band with an incredible voice. They inspire me to be myself
and to rock out I love their energy they give me life.
Missy Elliot inspired me to be Creative and to be fly and to strive for greatness I Love her music and her style.
what experience in your career was a game changer for you and why?
when
i hooked up with producer Lpeezy who is affiliated with MMG my life has
changed, my career has sky rocketed he’s like my mentor. He took me
under his wing and looks out for me now I’m able to really express
myself and distribute my music the way i want.
what else you do besides rap?
I like to Play my PS4 nba 2k, I like to shop, I like to go to concerts, and travel.
most memorable experience ?
is when I performed at sxsw for the first time I had a blast and i put on a awesome show with great reviews.
what makes you different than other artists?
I’m
not afraid to express my creativity, I’m very melodic, I do what i feel
whether its Hip Hop, Pop, or Rock its hard to put me in a category. I
just like to have fun with my music and i want people to enjoy
themselves when they listen to my craft.
